When you hear a "A day without Mexicans" What do you think of?

Everyone thinks that Americans will not do jobs that the Mexicans do, Rubbish...
Before all the Illegals Americans got along fine doing all the jobs that they say we will not do now. The problem is that people want to keep all their money and pay people nothing for their labor, this is what happening. Even look at the big corporations, Ford Motor for one, are firing, laying off, or shutting down plants to move their work to China as fast as they can, or AK Steel, locked out their workers to get a lower contract and take away things like health care, retirement. Do you as an American worker want to work 30+ years, retire and have no medical or retirement income? This is what they are doing, hire a Mexican and let those that pay taxes pay for their medicals, school, retirements from SS, etc..
If we did not have the Mexicans and every other illegal in our Country we would have to pay a fair wage to get it done, not a wage that make all employers millions on their heads. We are going back to when we had kids working in factories for a dime a day.
Maybe you supports of the illegals would be happy to support them, pay their taxes, fees for schools and medical bills.

I think we should have a day without hard working tax paying Americans,And I think we should take away illegals freebies and see how they cope with that! One day is not enough to even notice they need to all go back to Mexico so we can actually see if they make any difference,I know it would be nice to go to the dr. and not have to wait for 2 hours in line for mexicans who are using medicaid.

Next time they do it we should round them up and send them back. Then the legal citizens will have to prove they are legal to get back in.

That cheaply made, ridiculous movie. It tried so hard to make a point, but failed miserably. The point being, that we Americans are so fat and lazy and rich, that we depend on cooks, maids, dishwashers, etc and that if they ever left, we would be lost and confused, that we are so fat and lazy, we would not recover. It is a nice myth to soothe the offended immigrant soul, but it is a myth, nonetheless. We are made of much stronger, resourceful stock than many immigrants imagine.
