I feel couples in particular are so possesive these days why dont you just do your thing and your other half their own? why do we have to spend every second of our free time with each other we had a life before love why not continue it but not together the whole time? any good advise on how to let the other person know you love him but just let me do some stuff by myself every now and then w/o hurting feelings we are talking about someone we love........

I think part of it is that if they don't spend a lot of time with each other, either the girlfriend or boyfriend will have a "wandering eye" while they're out someplace, meaning that they will look at other girls/guys. Usually it's a normal part of the relationship to spend so much time with each other, and then the spark dies down. I do agree that it's important to have time to yourself and hang out with other people. That way, you still have room to expand your social life other than just your boyfriend/girlfriend. You don't need to experience every single thing together. You just need to be there to support your boyfriend/girlfriend when they go through something.

just be straight and truthfull tell him that you would like to do some things with your friends and that he should do something with his, that you don't want things to get boring with just the two of you and that you should go out once in awhile with friends to give you 2 something else to talk about.
