Actually, it's perfectly fine. They compliment each other very nicely. The Lexapro will help w/ Depression as well as anxiety. the Xanax will help you sleep and can be taken if you feel a panic attack coming on.

I was told that xanax was a medication that can be taken with anything it is one of the safe meds. but call the pharmacy. they are the trained professionals. I would like to know why you need to take both. If you med is not doing what it is suppose to you should be talking to your doctor. But call the pharmacy. If you are on .5 mg of xanax would rather you took 2 than mixed it with another. taken 1 hour apart.

I've been on both-Lexapro made me so wi rey, go t off it Xanax is VERY addictive!mentally & phisically! If you take it more than 2 wks. your body has already gotten used to it -I am actually on valium , take it as needed, I would recommend changing from xanax to something else like valium & I've been on Klonopin-Has the potiential to change your mood's, don't think too highly of that one. Call your pharmacis to be sure, but I don't think it's bad to take together, I take remerone w/ valium & it's o.k. But ,really, be careful w/ xanax- I won't go on it anymore, too addictive& hard to get off(taper for a month!).

No way! Lexapro will turn your brain into mush. Same effect on the brain as cocine, especially after you become physically dependent. Xanax will just make you high and tired; no true or lasting theraputic qualities.

Xanax can be taken with any anti-depressant. As xanax is for anxiety and you take it and it works fast, just be careful as they as very addictive so only take as prescribed.

once i started lexapro - i didn't need them anymore, but the doc did subscribe klonopin - as it is less habit forming, works quicker, and faster. i hardly EVER take it either.
if your doc did not subscribe it - don't take it - if you still are having problems with anxiety - you need to tell your doc - he may switch your meds, up the dose.................but, really, ask him/her.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!
