Depends on the Police Department. But the answer is ..yes..there are some PDs that only require a GED

Yeah, any idiot can become a police officer. Just join the military and take some criminal justice classes and apply. The only thing you have to worry about if the force will hire you or not.

At small (tiny one horse town) communities it is not unusual to have H.S. diploma or GED listed as a minimal requirement. However, in larger professional agencies the standard is much higher.

It depends on where you live. Most full time positions require 60 hours of college credit Associates Degree. Some will send you to the Academy.

they may hire you with a GED, but you would still have to attend the police academy. Look into it with your local department.

depends where you are at, the 3 places i have worked you woudl not beable to, they require an associates degree or 60 sem hours form an accredited college
