Ha! That's funny. You really made me laugh.
The issue was settled as far as science was concerned a couple hundred years ago. Scientists don't debate it -- to have a debate you have to be able to actually make logical points on both sides of an issue, and "creation" has no logical points to make.
The only people concerned about this are those whose ignorance leads them to believe mythical creation stories for which there is no evidence. The only time scientists deal with this issue is when they're called to speak at school boards who have been taken over by IDiots who want to teach this stuff in science class. The rest of the time, they're working on increasing our knowledge, not worry about mythical stories that impart no knowledge.
Peace.

Probably most do not debate about creation, some do. They often debate on evolution. Thats all they have to talk about. The last account I saw (~1999), about 45% of scientist did not believe in evolution. The majority of those did not believe in creation either, although some did (~8%).
The fact that we have no hard connection between any two species, alive or dead, keeps this debate interesting. Most scientist have recently begun to believe that apes and man had a common ancestor rather than one evolving from the other. There is tremendous speculation here, but no connection yet. There are many stages between the hominid and man and or the ape that are assumed to be related. However, no two species have been definitely connected yet. Basically, with all the fossils, and all the studies, all we really have is supposition.

You might find them questioning evolution. I know I did over coffee with my professors. Scientists ask a lot of what if questions to verify that there reasoning is solid from the ground up. When the cups are empty, usually everything has panned out. Occasionally you actually have a question to research. If it's not in the journals, you might have to research the question yourself. Regardless of the question, evolution has survived every investigation.
Even if, one day, a graduate student found a fatal flaw in evolution, that would not not prove Creationism. The only serious discussions of Creationism are races to disprove the latest lie. I've never seen anything that held for a day.

evolution is so thoroughly researched that that's merely approximately impossible to disprove scientifically. the sole time a introduction scientist could be waiting to win a debate is theologicalliy or in keeping with a individual's ethical character. this is beside the point to debating besides the fact that if something exceeded off or not. as an occasion: i ought to declare that i'm invincible and merely opt for to be mortal. If somebody tried to argue that i'm not i ought to declare that they are questionable in character for this reason can't be precise.

Nope, most of them have access to enough information to know that arguing against evolution is futile.
There are some Christian scientists that continually propose different hypothesis to fit God into the process, but these change daily as they are not scientific in nature.

Of course they aren't. In academic circles, everyone knows that evolution happened, creationists are laughed at.
There are much more important things to research, such as the mechanisms of evolution, and discovering more about the evolutionary history of species.

No. The current scientific paradigm is Evolution. I submit that current science is based on presuppositions that preclude any other possibility. Scientists who are functioning within the current paradigm cannot even allow that Creation is possible. The evidence for or against either proposition is irrelevant.

To scientists evolution is a done deal--the facts speak for themselves--just as there are no scientists debating if the earth is flat & standing on pillars as the Bible states--their time is spent learning & discovering--not mulling over myths.

It will always be a topic of interest because NO ONE KNOWS! As for evolution, they have theories proving it does exist and doesn't exist (I don't believe it since things don't just happen for no reason, we didn't pop out of nowhere from nothing.) Science has now proven more so on Evolution not being true when science is involved (atoms, molecules, DNA) Even so, the proof they have for it being the reason we are here, still has no scientific proof, just theories. As for Creation, its the only way to explain it, that something of higher power made us, but even with that said, WHO MADE THEM TO MAKE US? It is neverending!!

They are not debating. They already know there is sufficient evidence for evolution and no evidence for the biblical god.
