As a former chef and having purchased may different fruits and veg, there is no real season, with the US growing seasons, then theres the South American, Asian and European seasons.

Now a day there is fresh anything around, I used to get soft fruits like strawberries, raspberrys and blueberries all year round, and I worked in Toronto and Vancouver Canada and with the Asian markets you can get anything you want.

Alot depends on the area you live in and the grocery chains produce buyers, sometimes they feel certain fruits are available at some times because of the publics demand and desire for them.
