find a local butcher or, ideally, a local cattleman who slaughters and sells his own. Hard to find though, but it can be done if you're willing to drive a little bit.

The only this I can say to this is, what location a person lives in. Each state has different supermarkets. But coming from NYC, the best place is not the supermarket, but the meat market. Maybe you might have to serach online or in the yellow pages for a good butcher, but you can't go wrong in trying.

your local butcher store is the freshest.
I found out that they tend to include alot of fat to put the price up but cheaper by the pound or they are clean and the price is higherrrrrrrrrr.
Quality wise, let me tell you this, you arent buying the best cut of the meat in the world so dont worry about it. Look for over bloody package or bloody packaging. Look at the color, should not be brown (they are not suppose to be "aged').

Anywhere that sells meat such as a supermarket or a butcher. Either one of the two has good choices.

A regular butcher with sufficient customers. This means his meat is fresh and he will cut it special for you if you ask. I know they are hard to find these days but give it a try.

Co-op. That's where I shop for it. I try to watch for their back ribs when they go on sale because those have got to be the best in the world! BBQ them with oyster sauce, squeeze some lemon on them and sprinkly some oragano on them and that's it! Than enjoy.... but yeah, try the co-op, great meat there.

I like Sam's Club or Costco meat - it's the restaurant brand and a lot better then typical grocery stores.

Well for everyday food like milk and cereal and things like that I love Giant but you can also go to Safeway for that.
BUT.....when it comes to buying meat & fish, WHOLE FOODS is the best !!!!!!!!!! It might be expensive but TRUST ME, ITS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!
