Please tell me why and when god became such a staunch supporter of the USA. A deity that is supposedly over 2,000 years old and created a universe so vast that only a handfull of people can comprehend, fights for and supports this tiny little nation of just over 200 years on this tiny little planet?

Is it because we founded our nation in the name of god? Well what happened when we fought the British in the Revolutionary War? God save the queen, right? He certainly wouldn't have helped George Washington and his band of traitorous rebels, right?

What if we went to war with another European Christian nation? They were all formed in the name of god before us. Even WWII Germany had more "god seniority" if you will, than we did. Oh, but what they did was considered wrong, correct? What about most of the world now that thinks the USA is wrong in Iraq?

If god is involved, does that mean he let 9/11 happen? Certainly if he can help us fight and kill, he can intervene in matters too?

Do you think those who worship God and country are going to really listen to your rant? They've been brainwashed from a very young age and aren't going to be enlightened. You're preaching to the choir dude.

Since there is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as "god" -- "he" does not bless the USA. Non-existent things can't bless anything, or do anything.

You bring up logical points about god that most religious people just ignore...it reminds me of American football games: you'll almost always see a group of players, on both teams, pray before a game that there will be no injuries and that their team will win. Inevitably there are injuries, and only one team can win. So -- does that mean, at the end of the game, that god really favored one team over the other? That he let injuries happen only to the bad people? Or is it more likely that there's no such thing as god, and the outcome and injuries at football games are determined by the players?

A country that believes "god" loves them and treats them as his chosen country, without a good army, will still lose every war. A country with a good army, no matter what their religious beliefs, will still win wars. So -- even if god exists, does it really matter? Armies determine the outcome of wars, not mythological gods.

Peace.

Are you blind, or do you really not see that man uses God to justify all his worthless schemes? America was founded by political leaders that instilled their democracy with biblical morality and just government. As for the present date, it is all in what how people believe. But I assure you either way the winning cause will be for the good, although I must say, normal men will not see this so clearly.

I doubt it, since we seem to have been cursed by Satan with the bush family constantly filling the White House! Only the devil himself would have been worse! It's easy to destroy! The real challenge is being constructive not destructive. Any damn fool can screw this world up but it takes a true leader with wisdom and inspiration to make this a better world!

God used too bless this country richly. But being so many people have wanted Him removed from certain areas, and have rejected Him, His blessings seem far and few between.God does not interfere with our free will. Those people who flew the planes into the WTT chose to do so.

I think that God is gradually removing His blessings from the US.
2 Chronicles 7:14 speaks directly to us:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. "

I don't blame God one bit for removing His blessings from our country. We don't deserve them. We kill our unborn babies, we teach our kids that they came from monkeys and that all kinds of vile behavior is "perfectly normal", we teach them to have sex before marriage, our churches have become apostate, we sell pornography to other countries, we drink and use illegal drugs like they're going out of style, our leaders are corrupt, we pollute our beautiful land, we murder each other daily, and then we have the huevos to call ourselves a "Christian" nation. No wonder every other country in the world hates us!
I think 9/11 was a "wake-up" call from God, to get us to come back to Him. He used this tactic with the ancient Israelites, too. God says that whom He loves, He chastises.

No, that is not why God blesses the USA. God tells us in His Word that He will bless the nations which bless Israel and curse the nations which curse Israel. So far, we're the only big brother Israel has. That is why America has been so blessed.

The USA isn't even protestant anymore. Evangelicals who worship clerics are more like papists. Even Christianity in the US has become sordid and unnatural.
