He is really scared to climb stairs. I have to train him to go up about 20 steps. He made to climb one time and won't try again.

try playing with him on the way up or you could have treats on every other step and keep going from there...it is worth a try! Good luck!

I ran up and down my steps. I laughed and acted like I was having ,so much fun every time I went up or down them. After a couple days of her seeing this, she went up them. Also, you could go up one and set her on one then giver her a treat. Then repeat this on each step, then start to make her go up the next step to get the treat. Do not feed her before you do this learning exercise.

Put one his favorite toys at the top of the stairs or some treat that he likes.

There in not really an answer to that question. Your dog will learn to go up the stairs by his/her self. If you want him/her to learn quicker, put a piece of meat on the top stairs, then urge him/her on. Saying stuff such as: "Come on, puppy.", "You can do it." and "Come on. Come on, I know you can do it."
