Did you have an explaination for the F? Did you really study hard and was the test fair? More information would help us.

First, show them how good you are in math. Show how you can do some complex problems. Then say that you had a difficult time in math class because of A) the tests were different from what you expected, B) It was that time of the month, or C) you were concentrating on getting good grades in another subject at that time.
You can also say that you thought you had answered correctly when the math questions were asking you to find "X" and you circled the "X" on the line marked with an "X" and handwrote "Here it is."

Just tell them & get it over with. There's no way you can make it any easier on yourself except to work for a better mark in math so you don't have to go through this the next time.

honey, things like this happen, you need to have the answer as to why you made the F, what you are going to do to fix and proabably make sure it doesn't happen again and be prepared to accept the concquences, just tell them. and after all the fuss is over, show them you are trying to make it up. study a little more, tell your parents you will ask your teacher for a special prject or report to make it up, they will usually do that if you talk to your teacher and get your parents involved in helping you with it.

Tell your parents that your truly sorry that you will try harder the next time and actually mean it. Dont just say it and not do it. Go to extra help or something try doing something like that and if you still get an F ask the teacher to call your parents and explain to them that you did come to extra help and that you just need somemore help.

Everyone has a bad test from time to time. Explain to them that you're very unhappy with the grade and you'll work to not let it happen again. Then have them sign it.

Not the end of the world, hon. Just tell your parents what happened. Did you not understand the material? Were you sick? If you can explain the problem, they can help you fix it. Good luck!
