Totally misleading.
If you rent it to see a love story about Jesus, don't waste your time.
This thing is horrible.

I'm waiting for "The Passion of The Hundreds of Thousands Who Were Imprisoned, Tortured for Years and Slaughtered by the Christian Church Throughout Bloody History Whose Torment Makes Jesus's Few Hours of Captivity Look Like a Day at Disneyland."

From a movie stand point I enjoyed it
From the story stand point, there were things i questioned on the portrayal of it and went and researched what i didnt know.
Then again i heard it was Mel Gibsons POV of the Passion story

It was even worse on the big screen... I much recommend The Nativity Story which came out last year... though not strictly accurate, by the Christian Bible... it is a very good depiction of life in the time of Mary and Joseph... and a strong portrayal of faith

If you wanted to see a love story you should have rented gone with the wind but i know this is the kind of responce that you wanted anyway.

You know- even though this movie was extremely controversial because everyone thought it was blaming the Jewish people-

I am afraid that is how it went in the Bible as well, the movie may not be accurate but you have to remember it is a portrayal NOT a mirror image

I was especially intrigued by the scene in which Mary and Mary are trying to sop up every bit of blood in the square after the scourging. Collecting relics? I forget which gospel it's in...

Whatever it may or may not be, one thing that remains is it's biblical. The events of The Passion of the Christ in the words of the Pope, "It is as it was." Bloody flick, but very much factual.

If you're not religious, it comes across as a bloody, slasher movie. I'm surprised Hannibal Lecter didn't make a cameo...

I agree as it was not entirely based upon the truth. There are so many gullible people who watch a movie about Christ and believe every word of it.

no, but I've see Lethal Weapon 4, and it was pretty much the same, mel gibson still ends up saving te world

Does that mean Mel Gibson is the son of God?
