I bought an Epson 3490 Photo scanner (USB connection), now £55 upwards. It can scan A4 size pages, positive and negative colour/black and white 35 mm film strips and mounted 35 mm slides. I used negatives for many photos as prints were all mixed up - great job on >4000 photos.

Mate why dont you try it on ebay? you get the best deals over there you can get up to 40% - 60% off retail price. But becareful you have to buy from seller who has high status which means who has a high feedback and are reliable.

It's very easy to buy, just simply register in www.ebay.com and you have a great variety of kinds to choose for very cheap price and you can also sell your stuff.

Hope it helped
