I had taken phen/Fen a few years back and they REALLY worked, but I can't find them anymore. Are there any other diet pills that truely work? What about prescription ones?

Well according to WebMd, "Xenical and Meridia are moderately effective, leading to an average weight loss of 5 to 22 pounds over a 1-year period, more than what would be expected with non-drug treatments. However, the response to these medications is based on each individual, and some people experience more weight loss than others."

Phen/Fen was taken off the market in 1997, "because they caused damage to heart valves. Phentermine is still available by prescription. Taking phentermine alone has not been associated with the adverse health effects of the fenfluramine-phentermine combination."

Check out the article for yourself.

If you're obese then ask your doctor if they'd be willing to prescribe something to help with your appetite.

The "Fen" part caused very serious heart damage and death for many patients. The "Phen" is still available, but it was the "Fen" that made it work. (Does that make sense? LOL)

Xenical will be available OTC soon (in a week or so last I heard). Try that, but be very careful. That's the one that can cause uncontrollable, explosive BMs (not kidding).

many people look for pills to help them lose weight, or try weird diets like Atkins. We need a varied diet, plenty of fruit and veg, fibre, carbs. Any diet which suggests missing out an element of normal eating is likely to have side effects.
A healthy diet with regular exercise is the answer.Look at everything you eat, many people trying to lose weight say they don't eat much, but perhaps ignore the little snacks they eat during the day, the odd sweet, biscuit, pack of crisps.
Even if you do not have heart disease, take a look at the British Heart Foundation website, the advice there on diet to keep your heart healthy is likely to help you lose weight.
If you don't like exercising, just take a brisk walk 3 times a week.

The pills like that work the same way getting drunk gets rid of problems. They destroy your metabolism in the long run. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

You can continue eating this way the rest of your life and always be at your ideal weight.

I don't think any diet pills are good for your heart or cardiovascular system. Proper diet and exercise will always be the healthiest way to lose weight. put web M.D. in your search engine- you can get good advice about any health issues, and maybe info on diet pills

I've taken phentermine and got it online. It really works. I lost 60lbs in 3.5 months! If you use it short term I think the benefits outweigh the risks. Take it as directed.
