The situational equivalent of the ironic response "Whatever ...! " in Italian is "Vabbe'..." or "Vabbo'..." with the stress on the final syllable.

(The literal translations are qualunque cosa and qualsiasi cosa, but it would be nonsense to say this where we would say "Whatever...!" The expression "Che cosa mai!" does not exist in Italian.)

What a strange idea! Vabbo'...!

Ciao!

The best response in most languages would be, "As you like" meaning I don't care--whatever means "whatever you want." In Spanish that would be "como quieras"
and in French, "comme vous voulez".
You could also say "da igual" in Spanish, "it's all the same to me".

In Spanish whatever can be: Lo que sea, como quieras, como sea, lo que quieras. Basically those!

in spanish "whatever" is literally "cualquier." However, in the sense that I think you intend the translation would be "lo que sea" or "lo que quiera."
