my name is brandon and im a girl!!! i hated my name so i changed the spelling to brandyn. is this still very much a boys name? i googled the name and there were a few girls. is it a descent name for a girl

now days boys and girls are named the same thing I think that it is neat how you spell it. I wouldnt worry about it if I were you. Just know that you are different and that is the best way to be.

brandon is a guys name but when u spell it brandyn it becomes known as a girls name. since u spell it brandyn u can use brandy as ur nickname.

I named my daughter Brandyn and she gets tons of compliments I don't know if its a girls name but I love it

no matter how you spell it ... still SOUNDS like a boy's name. There's nothing wrong with it, but I'm sure that you get teased anyway ! My name is Billie... imagine the people that think I am a boy ! I would go with Brandy and eventually drop the N... I can't change my name !!

I believe anytime you add a "Y" to the spelling of a name, it becomes the feminine form.
