Why would one think that one's physics rather than someone else's physics is correct?
The reasons are the same.

The Bible is The Inspired Word of God, the proof is clear, due to Prophecy, Archaeroogy, written over a 1500 year period by 44 authors yet it agrees with each other, learn more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org OR www.itiswritten.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Mythology is the place where all gods go to be buried in the end, I think it's time to dig a grave for the Abrahamic God there now.

When we Christians say that we have found the truth, we mean the particular person, Jesus. We believe the Bible is true. The Bible tells us not to have any other gods ( God knew we tend to worship wrong things ). It also tells that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life, and no one will enter to the Father's house except through Him.
We have a free will. We are allowed to make a choice. We can choose only for ourselves. So we respect other people's choices if they do not break laws of God or/and men. : )

Garden-variety dogmatic bigotry. Nowadays most people are aware of a world beyond their own particular cul-de-sac, but they still assume that they just happen to have born into the "correct" tradition, and that the next block over is going to burn for theirs.
See below. wgr88 is a pretty stellar example.

because the Bible says that there is only one God, disbelievers are thrown into the fire(meaning Hell), and the road to salvation is narrow and few people find it. Now, if all religions who had God in them were correct, I don't think that that statement would be true.
Also, the koran says that Christians go to Hell, so to them there can be no Christian God.

I only know my gods exist because of personal interactions not otherwise explainable (if, for example, you know delusional disorders you know they are not one shot deals, but a package) and I know the omnipresent omnipotent omniscient deity of love with a hell doesn't exist because it is inherantly illogical.

Belief in any particular god is basically dependent on where one is born.

According to the christian bible, there can be only one god, (theirs).
They are blackmailed into only believing in their god from fear of hell. It's the first commandment.
