Okay, first it's the nebulous "Top Contributor" thing, and now they've handed out _roles_ without telling me? ;o)
I know that I can't save anyone, and it's not my place to make someone else agree with me, but I believe that God deserves the benefit of the doubt, and I'm here to add that perspective. I've also learned a great deal here about other people's perspectives, and whether I agree with them or not, I like people and hope the best for them.
So, I guess that would make me something between an advocate and a mediator of sorts.

I sit on the sidelines and occasionally weigh in with some big hits on evangelical Christianity. The only topic I always respond to is creationism because I don't believe it can ever be allowed to go unchallenged.

A light in the darkness of superstition, fear, and myth promulgated by outdated, irrelevant, ancient religions.
A gentle voice that prods those who aren't critical, who don't study and learn, and who accept without question that for which there is no evidence to be critical, to study, and to question.
An example to show that, contrary to what many religious people say, it is quite possible to be healthy, happy, in a loving long-term relationship, a good father, a good community member, a moral person, and a good citizen...and not believe in mythical gods.
An atheist in every sense of the word :)

I don't know that I have one. I'm not like WSID?R or AVATARD who make this place bearable by breaking up the monotony and seriousness... I'm not like The Dude or NH Baritone who ask questions that make one introspect... I'm not J.P. who is FRICKEN brilliant that it makes me want to cry...
