I have always had greasy hair growing up but lately my greasiness has gone up to whole another level. for the past couple of months I have washed my hair, literally the night before, and have woken up to greasy hair. It usually takes me a whole day to develop the greasiness but now its like on overdrive. what can I do to get rid of the grease? (and by the way i wash my covers and pillows frequently just in case u might think that I am transferring oils.)

you could be overstimulating your oil glands by washing your hair so much. its the same way with your face, when you overwash your skin tries to compensate by making more oil than it should. wash your hair once a day-to-every other day and inbetween put baby power/dry shampoo on your scalp. If that doesn't help ask your hairdresser what she thinks...:)

Try washing your hair in pure lemon juice a couple times a week and I hate to say it, but avoid greasy/fatty foods as much as possible. Sometimes people who aren't eating much of this kind of thing get offended, but even a little bit of fried food or fatty meat can cause problems sometimes. If you already have this problem and it gets worse, sometimes you need to have your scalp checked by a dermatologist because it is usually related to the skin on your head as apposed to your hair.

Both of these answers make sense, and would probably help. Worse comes to worse, you should go to a dermatologist. I'm sure they can investigate the cause, and find a solution. It *could* be that you need to change your diet! If you're intaking a lot of oily, fried foods, your scalp could be the "exit door" for those oils! For some people it's their face and/or body, for you it could be your scalp! Hope this helps :)

Paul mitchell tea tree oil special shampoo or you can go to sallys and get the generic version. It has antiseptic qualities and can be a little drying but it does leave a nice cool tingly feeling

use a clarifying shampoo, and use baby powder, it makes your hair less greasy, but you have to wash your hair later that night or else it will clog pores.

I like Bumble and Bumble hair powder. It comes in colors to match your hair, absorbs oils, smells good and gives major body.

Shampoo, go to sally's or any beauty supply store and tell them what's up. They will be able to suggest a high quality, cheap shampoo that will give you the results you desire.
