Muslims always assume that non-muslims don't know anything about Islam. They always make that assumption when they hear that someone does not want to live in an Islamic society. The truth is that the Koran has been translated into other languages. So, to assume that the only reason someone doesn't like Islam is because that person does not read Arabic is a false assumption.

With all of the Christian/American/Jewish beheadings, body burnings, bomb strapping to women and young children, flying planes into buildings, blowing up public trains and buses, and a seething hatred for Israel and all things western, I think it's safe to say that no, Islam is not a "wonderful, peace loving" religion. It is in fact the polar opposite of Christianity. The Qura'an was written by a womanizing child molestor. One man. Unlike the Bible, which was written divinely by multiple men across multiple continents across the span of thousands of years and somehow everything they've written lines up. Now that's God. Again, Islam is NOT a "wonderful, peace loving" religion. Not only that, but until Muslims who claim to be peace loving take a vocal stand in the America media AGAINST what terrorists are doing, I will never believe Islam is peace loving. This is a war against Islam.

Yes friend , & it is one thing to talk about peace & women's rights but quite another to put it into practice . The world will make a decision based on not only the actions of the terrorists & trouble making fanatics but also the majority of decent living yet deceived Muslims . Time for all of them to reclaim their religion & get rid of the madmen who are leading you all to hell.

I really worry about people who say not to worry about what people do in the name of something. These people are killing westerners and fellow Muslims in the name of your religion. Yet you feel the need to worry about the wests impression of Islam?
What people do in the name of your religion is vitally important to the view presented to the rest of the world. You can tell me that Mike Tyson is a Peaceful man till you turn blue in the face, but I am going to use my senses and guage the real Tyson by his actions, not your words.
Teaching me about your religion should be very low on your priority list, you should be focused on teaching the fringe elements of your religion about the peaceful aspects. The worst thing I am going to do is get nervous around you. Your fellow Muslims who are radical will kill you.

It is indeed ironic that some Christians hate Islam with a passion yet Islam acknowledges that Jesus Christ spoke for God--these Christians usually side with Jews--who thought Jesus was a complete fake--and are still waiting for the REAL Christ to put in an appearance.Figure that one out!!

Maybe people fight it because they are being attacked by it.
Perhaps followers of Islam should put down their weapons if they are people of peace.

The so-called "negatives" that you pulled out of the quran, (if you had bothered to read it, and not just pull quotes from ANTI-ISLAMIC webistes), Refers to what will happen to the DISBELIEVERS, and those who defy God.
This means, the rapists, the murderers, the pedophiles, the thieves, and YES the suicide Bombers. Those puinishments will befall ALL sinners, whether they are Christian, Jewish, or Even muslim.
Now can SOMEBODY please tell me how that is a bad thing?

I don't,
And I know they are peacefull, wich is why I don't fight them.
I'm not like the majority.
i know that the fundamentals of a religion cannot be determaned upon the actions of a few. THAT is just plain ignorant.
just like militiant atheist just showed us
I enjoy learning about new places, people, beliefs.
And the islamic religion has some pretty amazing wisdom.

Each of us only has so long to live. Why do religionists of all types want us to spend our valuable, irreplacable time studying their farcical mumbo-jumbo?
Hello? Islam is based on violence, exclusion, and misogyny, as its roots are (Judaism and Christianity). None of the three are worth a tinker's dam, nevermind careful study.
Oh, and by the way, Islam, like Christianity and Judaism, is only as good as what its practitioners do. What other realistic way is there to judge anything?
