Whether or not God exists... in the final days you may be torn apart limb from limb by religious fanatic groups thinking they are doing God's work. They will quiz you and ask if you are saved. They will inspect your body for the mark of the beast. There is already a computer game based on this scenario sold at walmart called "Left Behind" In that game you are left behind after the return of Christ and it is your job to save everyone you confront. If they do not accept Jesus... in the game you kill them.

OH MY! typo police :-)

Good for you that you've delved into such a deep and intimidating book.

Yes. We are living in the time period for which the book of Revelation was written. It is probably the hardest book to understand in the entire Bible.

I'd recommend that you try Matthew Chapters 24 and 25. And then 2 Timothy 3:1-5 to get a picture of where we are now.

The book of Revelations can be confusing. As you probably read, a lot of it is full of signs and visions, and not to be taken literally, but to symbolize something else. But some is to be taken literally, it's a matter of reading in full context and along with other scriptures.

I do believe that we are in end times....The stage is being set as we speak. Most of what happens in Rev. will happen after Christ returns to take His Church which is commonly known as rapture. Then we have the 7 years of tribulation where evil takes over the reigns and all good is removed from the earth. Then Christ will return and reign for 100 years while Satan is in jail. Then you have the great white judgment throne.

Revelations was a "keep up hope" work to Christians being persecuted by the Romans. The antichrist is Nero Caesar (666 in Hebrew numerology), the Great Whore of Babylon is Rome itself.

Revelations is not about the current world, nor is it a prophecy.

Nothing's going to happen. It's an epic poem about a dream the author had. I have dreams too. But that doesn't mean the world is going to devoured by Pamela Anderson. You must learn to recognize fiction when you see it.

yes we are

its only a matter of time before Jesus returns!
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars," Jesus said, "but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come" (Matt. 24:6). There will be famines and disasters, but those are only the beginning of problems. There will be persecutions, and there will be predictions. People will say, It is just around the corner, but do not believe it. Do not be alarmed. Just persevere. Just do the job set before you.
