I have long brown hair and when the suns on it I have like, red highlights! People have always told me I have beautiful hair! Some other people hav also been saying I should get it layered, but anyway...I was thinking about getting it layered, but will I like it? What are some things I can do w/ it if I get it layered? I don't want to be mad after I get it layered, and if I try putting it in a bun, will it fall out, w/ the layers, and will my hair look more wavy? (My hair is really straight...)
Thanks!!!

I say go with the layers. If you hate it will eventually grow out.

Hmm.. I also have long red looking highlights and scattered hair. Here's if you get layers: If your hair is soft, it will frizzy like CRAZY in the humidity. If your hair is really straight, it will kind of have a little curl to the bottom (which is really pretty). The good things about layers is that your hair looks super cute when its curled and straghtened. It will add volume to your hair. But sometimes, layers can be a pain. If you want to put it in a bun, chances are that it it MIGHT fall out. But, if you get your layers a little shorter than your real length, it might not be a problem.
Good Luck!

You should go for the layers. I have layers in my hair and sometimes put in a bun and doesn't fall out. Don't worry about that! If you would like to see how you look with layers you can download your picture and see yourself how you look with different hairstyles at http://www.hairstyles.virtual-hairstyles
These websites have plenty of styles to choose from too:

We can't tell whether you'll like it or not - only you will know that!
However, if you want a low-risk cut, ask for long layers - keep the shortest ones about 2 inches below the chin. This way, you'll still be able to put it back in a bun. If you don't like it, it'll grow out pretty quickly, too.
Also, short layers on top can look very dated. Almost like a mullet. You probably don't want one of those. ;)

I get my hair layered a lot and I always like it. First, it does not take as long to dry and that is a big plus when you are in a hurry. Second, it is much easier to brush because there are no tangles. Also, sometimes it will add volume to your hair. It makes your hair so much easier to manage and it will also look great down for a no fuss hair-do

no, layers will actually enhance your hair! i had a friend with beautiful straight golden hair but it was plain cut straight. she just got it layered a week ago and it looks awesome, if its at least down to ur shoulders then it wont fall out in a bun or anything! go for it. plain straight cut hair to me looks a little childish.

Get a "shag layer." This is basically 3 layers in your hair including your length. It's really good for straight hair because it give you a lot of movement. Think of this, only of course longer if your hair is longer.

It's a really nice cut, i've had my hair shagged for years.
As far as things you can do with it: curling it is a lot easier, you can even blow dry it upside down and get TON more volume, ponytails are not as flat looking on the head, etc. Email me for more info.

When you get your hair layered, it might look like all the strands of hair are not even, but it looks good. Make sure you get someone who knows how to do it!

There's a ton of useful information on layered hair that you might want to consider on the webpage listed below. There's too much to repeat it here.
