Only thing is, where would you go to recharge them? Can you just plug them into any wall outlet or do you have to use some special "charging station" or something? If you have to take a long 1000+ mile car trip and no place to recharge in between you're pretty much out of luck. Plus it takes 10 minutes to recharge as opposed to 2 or 3 minutes to fill a tank with gas. May save a lot of gas money, which would be great, but if it's a big inconvenience to recharge, I don't know if it would be worth it.

i'd rather pay to swap a 3.9 cummins diesel into something the size of a trailblazer and get over 500 miles per tank and run it on $1/gal homemade biodiesel.

that would be a great deal, but with current technology it is totally impossible.

but for argument sake. 60k isn't bad for something that can do that, as long as performance is ok.
