No you don't. It's a wasted effort as he's still the jerk that left you. When he hasn't heard from you in years...he may ponder on it but not before. It'll only amuse him in the meanwhile. I suggest dating someone that he thinks is more attractive, more athletic than him or whatever and displaying public affection in his presence every chance you get. That will serve two purpose...it'll help you move on and will make your ending sting.
