welsh corgis - male & female - depends on age. by 4 mos, males average 12 -15 lbs, females 9-12. At age 15 mos, pretty well full size. Males should not exceed 32; females 25.

To measure whether starting to get too hefty, after 9 months, lightly press and massage with fingers along lower rib cage, should feel rib definition, and a lift or recession going into stomach area. If not present, check w/ vet for possible diet modification.

If not a "working" dog, weight can be a problem = high energy dogs so need regular play time.
