superior is a matter of opinion. but.....

similarities between all five: they're religions.

dissimilarities between some: Buddhism is atheistic and Hinduism is pantheistic. the first three are monotheistic

Christianity: a religion that offers closeness to God through Jesus Christ. Values such as repentance and sinless ness are taught. The Christian belief system has common elements that all Christians believe; Jesus Christ is the only way to God, and Christ is the Messiah. There are many different Christian denominations, each stressing a different aspect or different aspects of the Bible. Brotherhood and kindness are also commonly taught. Many churches, including Catholics, have higherarchies of leadership. In the Catholic faith the Pope is the head of the church on earth. In others, the Apostle is the highest rank. The Trinity (God in three persons) is also a popular belief. Ceremonies such as mass/communion and baptism are also commonly practiced in the majority of denominations.

Judaism: a religion centered on the practices and beliefs associated with Godliness, the keeping of festivals and feasts, and the awaiting of the Messiah. Rabbis and even some modern Pharisees are the highest in the hierarchal leadership, with each person also being responsible for themselves. The Torah and Talmud are holy books of Judaism.

Islam: a religion centered on the belief in Allah (God), and the practices associated with Godliness. Muslims use the Qu'ran as their holy scripture. Muslims adhere to the teachings of prophets, the last of which is Muhammed. Obedience of Allah and of the father of the household is an important value, as well as living sinlessly, or relatively pure. Islam is separated into 2 main sects: Sunnism and Shia'ism, which have sub-sects. Islam preaches peace and upholding what is right, in general.

Hinduism: a religion centered on attaining holiness through practices and worship of the gods. Hindus in general adhere to the gods of many other religions and even some of the teaching of some religions. Reincarnation (coming back as a lower form if you don't live holy) is a commonly taught principle. One is usually born into Hinduism.

Buddhism: an atheistic religion which states that natural life is suffering, and that one can attain peace of mind for one's self. Buddhists pray to lord Buddha (not a god) and burn incense. Beliefs in chi (spirit/soul/body connection) and mysticism are also very common. Buddhists tend to view violence as a last resort. Buddhists also believe in reincarnation and are spiritual, though they do not believe their religion is the only way.

does that help?

In my opinion, neither one is superior. They all have a main point that basically says be peaceful and be fair. I chose Islam because of the rights it gives women. Only in this aspect is it superior, but the men of those countries have twisted it so that their culture is intertwined with religion.
