I want to subscribe to one of these services. I was previously with Lovefilm but when I ran out of money and had to stop the subscription my account was wiped - along with all my dvd selections......

......I have used amazon which does not wipe your account or options when you stop, but it is not unlimited!

Does anyone know which people will meet my needs?

I have had subscriptions with Netflix and currently have one with Blockbusters. I like Blockbusters because I can take the "post" DVDs into the store and get store rentals for free. And not only that, when the store takes in the "post" DVDs and marks them as 'returned' the distribution center immediately mails out the next set of DVDs as configured in the Queue. So, in effect, by combining the store and post, I get to watch a lot more movies per month. And the ability to get free rentals at the store means I can see new releases (which take forever on Netflix).

I used to work for Video Island entertainment (Tesco DVD rental) and that I believe has now merged with Lovefilm. I only had a weekend job there as a customer servcie advisor (you know the people you contact if say for instance your dvd was faulty) while I was at Uni. Anyway I left last year.

Trust me, you don't want to be with them. Take it from a staff member - it truly is a very very very poor service. The amount of DVDs that they have which are faulty is unbelievable. There are lots of other things as well that are bad.
