OK, there is this guy that I really like, but the problem is I am white and he is black. I am completely falling in love with him, but I don't know what to do. Some of my friends have advised me to just "stay friends" with him, but I don't know what to do. One of my best friends thinks I should tell him. I NEED HELP! I am freaking out b/c if I don't tell him I may explode and every time I see him my heart starts beating a trillion times a second. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!! And have I mentioned he is like my best guy friend???

Love is colored blind.
As a woman of color with a white husband and two adorable boys I could not imagine my life being any other way.
If your friends are that close minded then maybe you need to examine your friendships.
Why in this day and age are we still concerned with a variable such as color.
What is his character like?
Does he treat you well?
Think of some of the other boys you have liked, where they white or some other ethnicity?
Chances are you have many friends that have dated and have had bad experiences that have nothing to do with color.
Follow your heart sweetie.
I do not live my life for other people and their opinions and it has served me well.
I am an educated woman , with my heart in the right place.
Anyone who does not like me because of my color is missing out on an exceptional human being.
Skin color is real, but means little to the truly loving individual.
Do not let fear or racism which are pretty much one in the same dictate who you chose to love.

Talk to him and try to know him 1st .. whether he has any interest on you or not? If you see that he has something for you then u can ask him or propose him directly ... Black/white is not the issue. Issue is - you feel weak about him.. Ask yourself whether even u can stay with him for long time - i mean forever.. or not?
May be he is just a good friend but not a perfect life partner at all. So know him 1st and think whether he could be ur life partner or not.. then proceed about him as you took him in your choice :) ...
u know what? I am a very good friend. But me myself has a confusion whether i could be a best soul mate or not? :p
So what if you got a guy like me and you love me a lot? but nothing works at all?
Step forward but don't get excited. May be it's a silly infatuation working on you :)

Well it doesn't matter if you are white and he is black, what matters is the inside. If you want him to notice you, give him some hints or flirt with him when you guys are alone. If you feel like you can't take it anymore and you just have to tell him, go the movies with him or out to eat but only the two of you's and tell him there how you feel about him.

Girl, if you really like him, tell him. Who cares what other people think. So what if you guys aren't the same race. It is 2007. Ignorant people are gonna always try to throw sand in the gears. You can depend on a few folks to be idiots and deter you from happiness because of their stupidity. Ignore the fools and tell him how you feel. You would feel absolutely awful if you never tell him how you feel, and then he comes around with some other girl that he has fallen madly in love with that he wants to introduce you too.

ok.
1) does it really matter if he is black and you are white????
if it does, u better just stay friends.
2) ask ur friends y they want u guys 2 just stay friends. if there is a certain reason, take it into great consideration.
3)if u guys go out but then break up l8r, it may or may not affect ur friendship.
4) listen 2 wht ur heart tells u!!!

i think you should tell the guy how you feel about him. What if he feels the same about you but can't tell you because he is scared? So just go ahead and tell him how you feel or you might just miss you chance . So what if you are white and he is black it does not matter !!! Just follow your heart !!!!

if you're still young then you are not considering marriage anyhow...date who you want. and if you are of age to get married it could get more complicated...but at the end of the day remember your "friends" are not the ones you are gonna wake up next to it's the man of your dreams. Love him for who he is and enjoy your life..comes a time when you have to let friends know they have crossed the line. as long as he treats you good go for it!!!

Color shouldn't matter!! I would just tell him how you feel. Why would you put yourself thru all this emotional stress. Just talk to him. He is either going to say no or return the love.
