I can answer, but you must listen carefully.
If a chicken and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, then how many seeds can a one legged grasshopper kick out of a pickle.
The answer to that is EXACTLY how much tuna you put in.

Two 6 1/2 oz. cans of tuna. You mix the onions in with the tuna. The peanut butter goes on top like a frosting.

Only one can is plenty. Be sure the tuna is the kind packed in oil so that the casserole is sure to lube your poop chute. The onions are mixed with the lime jello of course, and do not use peanut butter in light of the recent recall.

The amount of tuna is actually scaled. It should be one half of the tripe that you ground up, and equal in volume to the ground liver.
As for onions and peanut butter, some put it on top, some on the bottom, as long as you drizzle the fish sauce on the tuna first before adding the marshmallow fluff.

I have a recipe for lime jello tuna salad but there is no peanut butter in it.
Here you go:
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 tsp. white vinegar
3/4 c. cold water
1 (6 oz.) can tuna, drained and flaked
2 hard cooked eggs, chopped
1/2 c. chopped dill pickles
1/4 c. diced celery
Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Add vinegar and cold water. Chill until thicken. Fold in remaining ingredients. Pour into a 1 quart mold or loaf pan. Chill until firm. Unmold and garnish as desired. Makes 3 1/2 cups or 4 servings

Silly, you don't put tuna in a lime jello casserole, you put sardines in mustard sauce in a lime jello casserole.
The onions and PB do go on top, but don't forget to put the coffee grounds under the sardines.
Ta!

Three cans. The onions go IN the jello...and then you put the peanut butter on top of that, and sprinkle the tuna on top.
This is the way my granny always did it.

4 pounds exactly but the fish must be whole eyeballs, guts, and all! The onions and peanut butter or to be put aside as a side dip to dip shoe laces from adidas. Your salad should contain fresh cut grass from the park, 3 eyelashes, and a pickle. Enjoy.
