... about your belief? Would you try to save his soul? Would you give him a second chance?
Considering he was really sincere in his repentance.

Thanks for honesty. I know I should forgive him, but I dont know if I really could. I think my first reaction would be run as fast as I can away from him.
Anyway, Jan, let Giggly say Saint Fatima prayer, because it it beautiful. You said forgiveness is not your job, but God's. This is not exactly that. We have to practice forgiveness everyday, and you know that. Go Giggly!!

Sure. I'm not a Christian nor am I conventionally religious, but I would talk to him about his past life, if he approached me between lifetimes. Hitler was a modern day "monster" but there have been plenty of other monsters throughout history, including many who sincerely believed they were "doing God's work."

Well, if I was a christian, I would have to believe it wasn't my place to make that call. Even as an atheist I understand that according to the "rules" in your bible, there is only one being that judges people. Seems a lot of people forget about that part of the bible, as illustrated in your question.
This reminds of the question you always hear about "if you could travel through time to pre WWII Germany, would you assassinate Hitler. I was one of the only people to say no. People were amazed. Then I said we don't know how his death before WWII would change the future, meaning our present reality. Without that research, and no real way of knowing what effects that one incident would cause, there would be too much risk involved.

No, because he knew what he was doing and did it anyway. I know I'm supposed to practice forgiveness, but not with him. I can put myself in the shoes of those women and children walking into the ovens and getting burned alive. I can imagine how terrified the babies were. What he did was HORRIBLE! He deserves every bad thing that comes his way. If that had been my family, I'd have killed him myself given the chance. I don't care what race or relgion someobdy is, if they harm innocent people, they don't deserve forgiveness. They should have thought about the consequences before they did what they did.

Mercy and forgiveness are not mine to give in this case. To my understanding, God would forgive him if his repentance is sincere and he is a true follower of Christ (not just claiming to be one).

no. i would be glad that he was sincerely repentant because its always better for an evil person to change rather than stay evil, but unfortunately the only people who have the right to offer him forgiveness can't do so, because he killed them.

Most of you are saying that you would kill Hitler or ignore him. Yet according to your doctrines Hitler would be saved and gone to heaven as the only "sin" that is unforgivable is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Christianity changes its own rules out of convenience.
Funny how genocide, homicide, child molesting, and rape are forgivable but blasphemy is unforgivable. And you want us to prove that there is no God. *sigh*

Hi, I'm Christian;
I wouldn't forgive him, simply because thats not my job, but I would be interested in talking with him. I understand he had the entire collection of Tom and Jerry cartoons and a pet bird, and some fish; when one of his fish died, he cried and grieved horribly.
I would like to ask him why it didn't upset
him to gas children. I think i may get into a physical brawl with him, though.
I have a strong urge to beat him up.

I would torture him severly, and then take pics and videos with my camera phone and post them on the internet, right after I sold them to CNN and other news stations for big bucks ... oh, and then I would forgive him and let him go
eeer wait ... thats what we do to Iraq's

I am a Christian and besides Hitler was a very Great Man who was greatly admired by the German People and I would be proud just to get a chance to talk to him!
