On this review site there are a few comments about Orijen pet food being owned by Blue Buffalo. I haven't heard of either company before. What's wrong with the Blue Buffalo company?

I picked up a sample of Orijen at lunch time. Hopefully my cat will like it. I've never heard of Orijen but the store worker said it's a great food!!

I actually don't think Orijen is owned by Blue Buffalo since one is Canadian and one is an American company.

Not sure about Blue Buffalo but Orijen is a wonderful pet food that is al natural and one of the best ones out there right now.

The ingredients look just fine, if you have a picky dog go with the fish formula. It usually smells like $hit but dogs love it. I feed Solid Gold BATM which is salmon meal based, and when I tried rotating to Natures Variety Instinct, my dogs wouldn't eat it after the mixing process. I had to go back, it smells like fishfood but my dogs go crazy over it. And 2 of my 3 are picky eaters, funny actually my food whore was the one who wouldn't eat the other food.... oh well. Anyway, I would go for it if you don't have access to anything better. Here we go again... Corgis4life: I may spend $60 for a 35lb bag, but I feed 3 cups a day during winter bc my dogs are extremely active... If I bought a grocery store brand at $20 for a 35lb bag, I would feed 12 cups a day... My parents buy crap food so I know exactly how much it takes to feed my dogs that junk. 3 times the price for 1/4 the food.... Now why is grocery store food more affordable again? And no additives is a bad thing? My dogs eat the food I feed because they feel better on it. I'm convinced my boy got tired of having pudding poop and gas on the Instinct which is a equal quality food to what I feed. The smell and taste of quality food is just as good as any crap food, without the additives, because the food isn't overprocessed. My dogs were healthy shiny and gorgeous before I switched to a higher quality food, but now they look better than ever...

Blue Buffalo is a fine food....why would you think it wasn't. Just read the ingredients...it's easy to let the good ones from the bad ones...

If that is wet food then yes there is something wrong with it if you have a cat NEVER EVER EVER feed it wet food because it causes kidney and liver failure my cat died from wet food :(
