I know you can go online or go to the college you are going to for Financial Aid but isn't there any organizations or places I can go to rather than in school.

Yes, there are pleanty of places besides the high school guidance office. All are free to register, use, and apply for consideration for scholarships.
First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.
Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.
Third, if you have not applied already, I recommend filling out the FAFSA form because it will tap into state and federal financial aid along with the college itself. It can bring scholarships, grants, and student loans along with the campus work study program if you are interested. The form becomes available on January 1 of each year for the fall semester or quarter.
Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

The school would be your best place to get information on it. Or ask them where else you can find info. Filling out a FAFSA is also a very good idea.(Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
