Me & bf broke up 1 week ago after 2 yrs cause it seemed we werent as close. He said he still wants 2 be friends & i was still happy for me 2 come on holiday with him & mates. We just had a fight on msn cause he miss understood something i wrote in a comment to a friend.. I have a nickname for him and what i wrote looked like his nickname + insult but it was something completely different. He wiped me off his site & i had a go at him for being so silly, then i accidently screamed about how i was so stupid for thinking we could have another chance together if i showed how i had changed. He seemed surprised and asked me if i thought wed get back together and i said "no not now" then i said "forget it" he then said fine and left msn. I called him & told him to forget everything id said and he said ok. Have i ruined everything now? altho hes the one who shouldve appologized for misreading and wiping me out! Should i still go on holiday? Is there still a chance we could get back 2gether...

no way, its not over yet! its jusa silly misunderstandin oin both parts! things can be so easily misunderstood over msn. something like this kinda happened 2me an the best thing to do is reallly just go 2him an say lets talk, yalk abt the whole thing and how it was just mixed wires/!! if its meant 2b then hel agree an then u can both talk abt gettin back together, if thats what u still want!! good luck wif it thou, those things can be difficult!!

Here's a good rule: Never, NEVER use instant messaging or email to handle a difficult situation! It's too easy for ugly misunderstandings to cause problems. Shut the computer down, and go, right now, in person and talk to your boyfriend, one on one. It's not too late, if you want to patch things up. You just have to explain about the misunderstanding. It's not the words that count in person, it's body language, and your attitude and your sincerity that get across to the other person, convincing him that you care and that you want to get back together.
All of those things are completely absent from text based communications mediums, so any misunderstanding, or bad joke can balloon all out of proportion.
Go talk to him in person. Don't worry about who should apologize to who. Be the bigger person and just do it.

You should forgive and forget. If you cannot, then you should split up. Communication is key. Talk it all out with each other. If you are left with in differences then you shouldn't get back together. Go on the trip you feel you both with get along, otherwise you will make the trip crap for everyone else going.

I think you both need a breather and need to step back and look at your relationship and what u are wanting out of it. If you cant find common ground than there is no point to continue hoping for something that may not happen or be in your best interest.

You apologized so yes you messed up but you realized you did. I think you should go on holiday and there is a chance you and him can get back together. Nobody's perfect and everybody makes mistakes.

Move on hun, he's got other things on his mind o.k.? i know its rough, trust me, my fiance and I just broke up 3 weeks ago, I'm not mad at her or anything, and we never fought when we broke up, we are just at two different points in our lives. sometimes this can tear 2 people apart. I would take her back in a heartbeat but there is somthing about me she can't get over. Ohh well.. you live and learn i guess. I just hope she realizes what she is loosing, and i hope your boyfriend does to.
