Most companies rent them for $45 per day depending on what kind of canoe you have. So at about 8 hours of use/day, that would be about $5 or $6 per hour.

I used to work at a canoe rental place, on a group of lakes, and we rented out our canoes for $25/day or $15/half-day. We didn't rent hourly, but I always though $15 for 6 hours was pretty good. If you want to rent a canoe for a lake you should just rent it for the day or half day. An hour really isn't that long, and you don't have to rush your time with the canoe if you're renting for a day.
