So correct me if I'm wrong, but Joesph was taken in as a prisoner, but after yada yada yada he became the ruler of Egypt, under only the Pharhoh, who had let Joesph run the show. Fast forward Moses and God need to kill babies before finally the Isrealites are let out of slavery.

So what happened in between that time? Or were they always slaves, and only Joesph was let free, and during his time in control of Egypt he didn't think to say "release my people"?

The text is self-explanatory, if you actually read the story. The Pharaoh who like Joseph died, and was replaced by a new king who feared that the Hebrews were becoming too numerous and would eventually take over Egypt. So he enslaved them to reduce their political influence.

There Is A Thutmose Yet He Was Not Picked Up As A Baby Floating In A Basinet.

there is not any archaeological data that there have been ever 2 million Hebrew slaves in Egypt, or that 2 million human beings wandered interior the barren area for 40 years. something like that could relatively leave data. a team that great can not get misplaced interior the shuffle or leave no data of its existence. this is conceivable that a small form from a particular tribe have been held as slaves for a time and their tale became better to incorporate the full team while it became advised later.

The Exodus story is a charming cultural legend, but has no basis in actual evidence. Chances are no Israelites were ever enslaved in Egypt in any significant numbers. The story is just quaint mythology with emotional value, like the English tales of Robin Hood, which serves to help cultivate cultural unity.

according to the story, a pharaoh came along who "knew not joseph." in other words, there was a regime change, and the new regime was concerned that the hebrews were becoming numerous and might overpower the egyptians.

Why do you write so much and read so little. After Joseph, the enslavement took place.

You have a chip on your shoulder for some private sin; fornication, or worse....look at yourself or the Bible but look at something before you judge people.
