If Jesus comes back, the last thing I'll need is a Bible. Nobody had a Bible the first time he came around. Why would He want me to read something that has inevitably lost a lot in translation over the years when He was right here to tell it to me first hand?

Christians expect that Jesus will return miraculously in a form convincing to the world that he is indeed the son of god, and then what?? Either such a glorious second coming will cause a global conversion to Christianity, or only the previously loyal believers will be saved (the Rapture) while presumably atheists and agnostics will be condemned to Hell -- or, are you implying that, in the final moments, the doubters may also be whisked to heaven if they should repent their infidelity, seek their abandoned bibles, and profess their beliefs in the obvious? It is doubtful, even given undeniable proof as you are imagining it, that the adoption of Christianity will be universal; after all, allegedly Jesus was resurrected following his initial appearance on Earth, surely an amazing feat even in those days of the regular converting of water to wine and other deeds that would be regarded as impossible in our times, yet not all those in existence at the occasion, including witnesses to the event and the Jews who populated the vicinity, were eager or willing to accept the concept of Jesus as the savior of mankind. In fact, years passed before Christianity emerged as a new religion. Thus, it may happen that, ensuing the second coming, some (or even many) obstinate nontheists (or those who stubbornly adhere to other theisms) may choose to maintain their disbelief and to remain here on Earth among the rubble of Armageddon, hoping thereafter to build a better world from the ashes should they survive or, barring that, join the like-minded in hell if god is not able to comprehend the rationale for their questioning fundamental religiosity.

If you’re an Atheist, what would you need the Bible for?
But if you’re a Christian, the same question follows. A number of Christians dying for Christianity does not have a Bible, like the people in China. Salvation comes from accepting that you are a sinner & that Jesus is Lord of your life, not by having a Bible.

Geez, man, why are you trying to get a rise out of them? What did they do to you?
This is not a legitimate question, worded this way, it is merely a so-called Christian slinging another rock at atheists.
You're not gonna win them over by this, only make them laugh more at hypocrites like yourself.
Am I right, atheists?
Seriously, when my Yeshua comes back, you atheists will be in the middle of a nuclear war anyway, as will everybody else. But the fact I believe that doesn't make me throw verbal bombs at y'all.
Please, don't judge every single "Christian" you ever meet by the immaturity of this person. (Although most are like him, sad to say.) A few of us actually are pretty decent.

I end making use of the bible on maximum solutions. case in point, at the same time as someone tries to practice the bible incorrect..sturdy for them. I received't argue the bible..yet i visit argue Jesus and the dominion. that's all that they had in the starting up after the crucifixion. they could coach from the scriptures, yet they did not call the bible the note of God. They called Jesus the note of God.

Do you not have enough faith and belief in Jesus to think that he can handle whether or not people will be saved? It seems like you are limiting God's ability to save his own people.

I have several translations, as I worked for a professor of Biblical lit for three years during college. I don't live for "what ifs," though.
