I have owned a Zenith Ch200 for what will be 20 years come May 7 this year. I have worked on 601 and 701 aircraft. I can tell you this from my experience. Chris Heinz has put an incredible amount of thought into his airplanes. If you decide you don't like the way he would have you build something and you try a different method, I guarantee it will me much heavier. In short, if you don't like the airplane exactly as it is designed, find another one. I have had mine for going on 20 years and I am still amazed at how much thought he put into this airplane.

I used to fly one sometimes. A cool little aircraft. Cheap to run, easy to fly. My daughter was about 10 at the time and she liked flying around in it. MUCH niver than flying a 152 for about the same hourly costs AND it's a low-wing, which I prefer.

The ONLY thing that took some getting used to were the electric flaps. They moved a LOT faster than I was used to on a Cessna, but it didn't take long to get used to them.

Not into the whole RC thing but I would reccomend a hobbies section rather than the Transportation/Aircraft section...
