Please tell me how you can 'lie' before you can talk? Please don't confuse the sin that was passed onto us with that of a newborn babe. In reality, a baby has commited no sin and therefore if dies, does not suffer the same consequence as a person who has been allowed to live and make a free will choice. A baby cannot think - it has no words yet to put into 'thoughts' and the 'deeds' a baby does is purely deeds done to the body (eliminiation, crying, touching, etc.) As a young person walking in free will, you have a choice to make with what you 'think, say and do'. The tongue being a deadly weapon must always be tamed. The mind, quick to think the most evil thoughts, must be changed and put on the mind of Christ - hence (what would Jesus say? What would Jesus do? philosophy)

Mostly in the deed you are going to lie about.

Don't you suppose it is a matter of the heart? What is at the core of the emotion or action? What need is unmet or unfulfilled? Actions, words, and thoughts often are centered around an identified or subconcious need.

You couldn't, children do not develop theory of mind (which is required for lying) until they are almost 4, after they can talk.

All children belong to God until the age of accountability. So that would make you good in God's book : )
