Assuming you are carrying comp/coll, not just liability, you would be covered by the wildlife collision clause. If you were carrying only liability, you have no coverage on the car at all. Also assuming you weren't drunk, of course. Different states and provinces have different limits as to when the claim can be put in. In Manitoba, for instance, you have 2 years, but that is kind of dumb because it is hard to quantify and assign the damages if you wait that long. Some jurisdictions and companies have limits as low as 30 days, or up to a year. don't wait, Report it now so the damages are still fresh.
Def of Comprehensive Coverage: "Covers your vehicle, and sometimes other vehicles you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision. For example, comprehensive insurance covers damage to your car if it is stolen; or damaged by flood, fire, or ANIMALS."

Hitting a deer is considered a comprehensive loss so if you purchased comprehensive (also known as "other than collision") coverage, you will be covered. The company will pay up to the actual cash value of your vehicle less your deductible. It has only been 3 days, that is fine. Call them & start the claims process if you have the coverage.

They should cover it, but your premium will likely go up. Relax though. That's what insurance companies are for. The important thing is that you're not hurt. Good luck.

If you have comprehensive coverage then yes, your covered less your deductible.
Generally, you have 60 days to file claims so you're fine.
Also, comp claims do not typically raise your rates.
Hope this helps!

It depends on what type of insurance coverage the deer has.

It depends on what coverage you have. If you have comprehensive then you should be ok. Collision doesn't cover accidents involving animals.

You should be covered, and you probably won't even have to pay your deductible.
