Michael's junk is in my trunk. He wants to keep it there, but it has been there long enough, I think. He wants to know if there is a statute of limitations as to how long one can keep his or her junk in another's trunk. Does anyone know?

Possesion is 9/10 of the law. Throw it out or confiscate it.

I would call Michael and tell him how long he has to get his junk out of your trunk. If its not gone in that amount of time, its yours.

I think three weeks in pretty standard for how long one can keep his junk in someone's trunk.

I fired my babysitter, she walked out leaving some of her possessions behind.

I knew she would be coming for them because she had clothing, radio, piano etc that was important to her.

After 3 months I was wondering how long I should keep it so I called the police and asked. He said usually its best to keep it at least 3 months because the person could sue if you got rid of it right away. (that is if they can prove it) but just out of respect it is nice to hold on to items for that long.

They said after that they usually don't bother even writing up a complaint.

If his junk has been in your truck for longer than 3 months, then it is yours. Have fun with it or toss it out.
