The most important thing Muslims exchange is their ideas of their marriage contract. It's a prenuptial aggreement that would also include the dowry (bridal gift) to be given to the woman being married. The dowry is up to the woman and it be anything from what the man knows of Qur'an (what he can recite) to material things. We don't normally exchange rings.

changing rings is a christian custom. Jews and Moslems are "buying" the wife. The jewish costum is that the man is giving the woman a very plain ring and signing a document (Ktuba) obliging himself to take care of her and supplying all her needs. By givin the ring he says: with this ring you are given to me by the law of moses and israel"

well not xactly but da bride does receive loads of gifts from the groom's side which includes jewellery........but sum muslims exchange rings during the engagement howeva thts not acc 2 da sunnah.
