Is SVP XThinn-12ZX a good camera? Does it give 12 MP resolution or only 3 MP resolution?

I have seen an advertisement on ebay for a SVP XThinn-12ZX camera, but have heard that there are a lot of scammers also. IT claims to have 12 MP interpolated resolution power. I am buying it for 100.00. Is it a good buy?

SVP products are garbage - I've reviewed a few of their cameras recently. Here's the specs for the 12ZX from their own website: http://www.svp-tech.com/x12zx/x12zx.htm
And here's what's wrong with those specs:
* It only has a 5 megapixel sensor. Those 12 megapixels that they advertise are 5 from the sensor and another 7 that the camera makes up with a software trick. It's just a gimmick.
* It only has digital zoom - no optical zoom. With digital zoom, you sacrifice tons of resolution. In fact, at maximum zoom you'd only be recording 5 megapixels devided by 8x digital zoom = 0.6 magapixel. Most phone cameras can do a better job than that. And 0.6 megapixel is nowhere near enough for a decent print.
* They don't list a maximum ISO. I expect this camera tops out at ISO 100 or 200, making it useless at dusk or indoors without a flash.
* The flash takes 8 seconds to recharge between shots. An eternity.
* They don't list who makes the lens. Expect cheap quality - inferior to Canon, Nikon, Zeiss, and Leica lenses used by other point & shoots.
* SVP cameras are not reviewed (or even mentioned) by ANY respected camera site.
This camera is certainly not worth $100. I suggest you spend your money on an entry level Canon with 3x optical zoom.
