I have had my puggle since he was 8 weeks old. He is a really good puppy ( I think) except for the housetraining thing. He sleeps in a kennel and stays in the kennel while I am at school during the day. He never goes to the bathroom in his kennel. We take him out about every 30 to 45 minutes and he will go to the bathroom everytime. . . Then we come in and not less than 15 minutes later he has gone in the house. He has been pooping in the house about 2 times a day. He will go in the hall or under the couch. I tell him "no no!!" and take him straight outside. He pees 2-3 times also. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have 3 small children and he is really great with them. He is very playful. I just really need help with the pottytraining thing!!!! Please help!!

We just got a puggle too. Hes 12 wks now. I have him almost potty trained in about 2 weeks. This is what ive been doing. I put puppy pads in the places he likes to pee. That way hell get the hint to pee on there instead of on the floor. At least that limits the accidents on the carpet. Then dont let him have the whole run of hte house. Only places you can see. Use the child gates to cut off where you dont want him to go- like down the hall way so you can see where he is at all times. use the same routine EVERY time you take him outside. For ours the first week I had him I took him out about every 45 minutes we went out the same door I picked him up and said "lets go outside lets go potty!" sounding chipper and if he didnt go I waited for him to go and said "go potty!" in a nice voice and waited if he played or got distracted I said "go potty!" again. Once he started to pee i said go potty good boy! and when he was done gave him tons of praise. The ONLY time I give him a treat after going outside is when he poops. I also wait after he pees if he plays and seems like he wants to go inside I tell him again "go potty" and wait for him to poop. I waited about 10-15 mins each time- felt like I lived ouside for a week lol. But be consistent go towards the same door do the same routine and when they go potty give tons of praise.
To clean up the accidents we have one of those absorbee pad things that sucks up all the liquid its awesome and then we use the complete 8-1 pet cleaner works awesome.
When he has an accident or pees for no apparent reason I make a loud noise to distract him and say NO! then take him outside sounding chipper again and say outside potty! and hes getting it. He now waits by the back door and whines a little if I dont hear him then hell go on the floor but its by the door now.
Watch for signs of him getting ready to pee or poop. Our puppy circles around and then pees and then paces sniffing back and forth and then will poop. You really gotta watch em like a hawk and when they have an accident in the house if you catch it midstream do the loud noise and NO! and take him outside. Be very consistent and repetitious and hell get it.
Pugs and Beagles are VERY stubborn and need to be show who the alpha male/female is! youre the boss!!! dont let him run all over you lol
good luck hope that helps!!
Congrats on the new pup!

The key is to be focused and consistent. Dogs respond greatly to consistency. If you are training your puggle to go to the bathroom outside it is crucial that you bring him out for frequent bathroom breaks and when he goes, reward him (Treats and or Lots of Praise!). Since you mention that you cannot get him to go outside then you must focus on the next step first.

If he goes in the house yell a little, use a spray bottle or flick the nose. If you catch him in the act IMMEDIATLY bring him outside, even if he is still going. This still enforces the idea of going outside with going the bathroom. Eventually you Puggle will learn to go outside and that's when you can really get creative. I set up a buzzer for my dog to hit if he needs to go outside.

All tricks and training are learned on those same principles. If you are patient and stick with one thing at a time you will be amazed at how intelligent the Puggle is. Although it does not seem this way at the time Dog really do want to please their owners. We just need to make them understand what we expect of them. Interestingly enough the most intelligent dogs often cause the most problems when it comes to house breaking.

Good Luck!

it is what we did and it worked. we would bribe our basset to the door with a manage, supply her the manage. enable her out until eventually she does her company and then supply her yet another manage. she would be able to then learn how to circulate to the door and scratch or supply an illustration that she needs to go out. try this approximately each and every hour to get her in the habit. shop doing this for a month or so, even regardless of the undeniable fact that she'll in all probability capture on speedier than that. of direction compliment such as you have been doing. in specific circumstances, definite they might have errors. they won't be feeling nicely or have eaten some thing that did no longer believe them, we don't understand, besides the shown fact that it happens. We nevertheless supply her a manage basically because of the fact she's so darn lovable!

He is a puppy, it will take almost a whole year to get him fully potty trained. It takes time and you have to be patient. You have to be consistent with your training and watch him all the time or keep him within your eyesight. Don't rub his face in it or hit him. Unless he is sick it is your fault every time this happens unfortunately. Watch for signs and take him out as often as possible. Crate training is the best way, I think. Ask your vet about it.

my suggestion, after raising countless puppies, is to put him back in his crate after two or three minutes of playtime, after he comes inside, then wait fifteen minutes and take him back out. after potty number two give him ten minutes and put him back in his crate and repeat taking him out

right now the key is to get him to not have accidents, because right now they arent accidents he is doing it on purpose, puppies hav eto go potty after each play session
so if your kids are playing with im as soon as he comes in from potty, guess what? he will need to go again

just dont leave him have free roam, at any time, you should have your eye on him every minute and if you see him headed toward the hall or couch grab him happily and put him outside

good luck
