I'm an atheist and I come in here to talk about spirituality. I'm not sure why other people come to this section to talk about other things. Perhaps, they want answers for off topics from the religious/spiritual answerers, who knows.

Looking through the questions, the first one that's not clearly a religious/spiritual/philosophical question is Laptop Jesus' question, which has its own subtleties (as well as a nice nod to Russell's Teapot). We're reasonably on point here.
Of course, some people mis-post questions; it's pretty easy to do with the system they have in place.

There are a lot of questions that are appropriate though they lack a Christian world view. Understand that we all see the world through a lens, your's happens to be Christianity, try looking again without the assumptions of that lens.

dont be rude, there are spiritual people that arent christian. I ask christians questions to get them to think about what they believe, but i usually get hateful responses, or repetative rhetoric. People just dont want to listen or open thier minds anymore. But i come here to try anyways.

One thing to bear in mind is that these forums create a community of sorts and people like to discuss matters with their community rather than with strangers. If I am interested in some poster's thinking I'd rather get a response from them than from someone I don't know.

It's just for fun, and fun is very spiritual for me.
We have a quasi community here, so sometimes we address the community, rather than the exact topic.

Please keep in mind that despite anybody's good intentions, this IS still the internet, and it is subject to misuse and abuse because of that. I'm not advocating or promoting such, but any discussion forum on the Web has the potential to be reduced to a meaningless slander-field.

That is mostly Christians asking science questions from what I have seen. They don't want to ask them in the science section because they get mocked even worse there.

Sometimes questions that do not appear to be relevant to this section actually are quite relevant if you look deeper than the surface.
