Does this make you as mad as it does me? I mean questions like- "Theres brown gue coming out of my dogs butt,and it smells bad-any ideas what it is?" or "Tell me a funny storie about your dog couse im board"! or even "My dog is chocking to death, do you think i should take it to the vet" It really angers me because then theres the poeple asking real questions like "What brand of foods are on recall" or "What supplies do i need for my dog when she gives birth?"
Please your thoughts about these poeple?And do you think they should even be in the DOG catagoirie-let alone Y!Answers?

Yes- other catagories are for the nonsense, not dogs- i have three dogs actually,and i spend my free time voulentiring at shelters AND fostering dogs and kittens, but you know what- it doesnt matter anymore.......

Only things that bug me are the medical question..in here you have no idea who is answering them...The people who copy and past their answers once they find them on the net and not having a clue what they are saying. , The questions that get ask all the time, over and over again. The people who yell when someone ask a breeding question. At least they are asking. Then there is the What do I name my dog question or what kind of dog should I get. Don't people think anymore.
Have to take it as it comes I guess, people will not change and they will keep asking the same question over and over again and ask stupid questions. I wish yahoo would take the thumbs down and up off. People are miss using them also. Not everyone is going to agree with someone, but it is their views and it show just how much they really don't know lol but they believe it to be so. Why put thumbs down because you don't agree with them. It is up the person to find the right answer to her/his question. Oh OH and there the one that put their question in voting???? like they need someone to pick the answer to their question lol. People are People and nothing is going to change that. So this will go on so we might as well grin and bear it. But I sure do know what you mean.

I find it funny that you categorized "what brand of foods are on recall" as a real question, when that question has been asked ten thousand times already. If you are that worried about what your dog is eating you would have found this information out this information immediately. Anyway, your question is not the best of questions either, but its open to everyone and just because you or I find it stupid the person asking the question needs answers. Its the internet you shouldn't be getting mad just don't answer questions YOU find stupid.

Let me guess--you don't own a dog. We have a chocolate lab/Weimeraner mix that is a member of the family, and I personally enjoy telling others about what a good dog she is. And some people can't afford to run to the vet every time something happens--if someone out there knows how to deal with a non-emergency, maybe they can avoid spending the money.
You obviously don't read the other categories, either--if all the people who post the type of questions you're referring to, there certainly wouldn't be 155,000 questions open right now. Some people need to connect with others, but right then all they have is the computer. It's like having an international family that, even if they judge you, it's not someone you have to spend your life trying to please.

I believe that any question is fine, as long as it isn't vulgar or hateful. this forum is here for all types of people, and all manner of questions.
However, the user can choose which questions to answer..No one is obliged to answer any question, whether important or frivolous..
What does upset me is people answering with great authority when they don't know how damaging their advice can be..
such as, 'just smack him on the nose" or 'rub his nose in it' or 'pour motor oil for mange', etc.
all we can do is try to give good sound advice, on the subjects that we actually know or can research..
for the silly questions, just pass on them, or answer if you choose.
Note: I think the silly questions do have value. They encourage the youngsters or inexperienced to participate, and feel they are part of the community, even if it is just helping someone name a pet. AND, as they ask, answer and read, they may just accidently learn something of value from reading the other Q & A's..

Ummm, let's see, this is actually stupid question. Use your brain on this one and if you don't want to see these "stupid dog question", DONT' READ THEM!!! Don't waste your time being upset about this and just read the questions and answers YOU want to look at. And by the way, I think you answered one of my "dog questions" the other day. If you don't like the category you just shouldn't browse within it.

This board is for any and all questions. It can be a learning tool, but it is also meant to be for fun and to pass time. To tell you the truth if I had a very serious question I would call my vet, do some search on the web or read some books!!!!

the questions on her are just as important as what supplies are needed for babies,there are kids that will ask questions about their cat or dog and then get called all kinds of stupid idiots for that,thats not cool either,remember there are all kinds of questions and all kinds of people on here and we like to ask and answer questions about pets 'or cooking or whatever flips our switches.so read and let read .....
