Sounds like an old scientific theory to me. Pay it no mind. Those things change radically every few hundred years.
This is very unlike the Bible, which has remained unchanged for millenia.

If that ancient book was the bible, they'd be required to believe it. Look, two of them have said as much already!
All the objections of science, to say nothing of common sense, would be cavalierly brushed aside in the usual manner. How did such a quantity of curdled milk wind up suspended in the heavens? "God did it." How? "Mysterious ways." But what about the moon landing? "Hoax." And so on.
"So far, no one has been able to prove the Bible wrong, and every field of science supports the belief that the Earth is young, life is intelligently designed, and there was a worldwide Flood." This is the mentality with which we're dealing. It's quite useless to point out that this statement is demonstrably wrong in every respect. These people have CHOSEN idiocy as a point of "faith."

Why would I believe that?
Your question implies that it is ridiculous to beleive anything so ancient; but despite all our modern technology, much of our cultural philosophies and modern discoveries are based on some very old ideas.
Don't knock something because it's old. That just shows a lack of maturity.
It's another thing entirely if you believe the bible is unreliable for other reasons (I would disagree, but you're entitled to your opinion); but surely you don't think we believe it just because it's ancient.

No, because it's easy to prove that the Moon is NOT made of green cheese.
So far, no one has been able to prove the Bible wrong, and every field of science supports the belief that the Earth is young, life is intelligently designed, and there was a worldwide Flood.

Yes. Mice used to live on the moon, and nibble on the moon cheese. Then God realized that the mice would soon destroy the entire moon, and so He built rocket ships and sent them all to Earth. When the rocket ship landed on Earth, all the dinosaurs died. The mice, miraculosly, survived; and then they evolved into monkeys and humans.
