Confidence means reliability. When someone is confident he is almost sure of somebody or something.

confidence is walking with your head held high
making eye contact when you speak to people
being the first to say hello or good morning
speaking loud and clear
walking around with a smile on your face (though not the psycho killer kind)

When you see a child and his parent walking around taking long strides, and with happy faces and a go lucky attitude. Something must be right when you see that beauty.
