No one is coming from very far, furthest away would only be 2 hours drive time away.

About three weeks prior so people can clear their schedule

Someone is willing to drive two hours for a high school graduation?

Since I can't see anyone altering their vacation plans for this, I would say 3-4 weeks would be plenty. Since that is also wedding season if there were any weddings in conflict with your grad they'd have already RSVP'd to those. I don't think you'd want to send them earlier because to be honest if I had a choice between a wedding and a grad I'd take the wedding any day, and wouldn't want to be previously committed to a grad ceremony.

If you really, really want people to attend, I would suggest mailing them out about 2 months before vs. just one month. That can be a popular vacation time so many people are no doubt planning vacations that month. Better to give too much notice vs. not enough!!

About 1 month before and no less than three weeks before the graduation.

I would say about a month or so before. that gives people plenty of time to check their schedules and clear them if needed.
