Is it the packing? The hiring the mover? The cleaning?

personally, I don't find moving to be stressful. My wife, on the other hand, worries continuously about every detail of the move. She is convinced we will either leave something behind, or break something. She is also always convinced she will be in total isolation once the move is over. Each time we move, after the move is over, she is convinced we have found the best place in the world, and has no regrets. I suspect every individual has their own response to change, and it is not always possible to predict how it will effect them. Some people are more attached to the things in their lives, others to the relationships. I have managed to shed most of my attachments in life, and am content as long as my wife is at my side.

I think the most stressful part is finding your niche. I just moved to a new town to attend college and it's not easy. You have to get involved and be outgoing. The city of commerce is a great place to find local events, businesses in the area and job opportunities. I suggest volunteering somewhere. They have lists of good places for just that. It's a great way to meet people. Good luck and keep yourself busy!

The packing, without a doubt. If you can afford it, hire a moving company and let them pack for you.

The unpacking in the new place, there's soo much to get done, and you don't have a nice clean spot to relax
