I have found lots of mixed foregin currency while cleaning out a spare bedroom. I know that airports often accept foregin coin donations to support charities like UNICEF. I was wondering if there were other organizations or places where I could mail/drop off coins other than the airport.

Hey, my youngest son collects foreign coins if you have no other place he'd love to include them in his collection! If you want to exchange them theres a foreign exchange office, or to donate to a reputable charity be careful where you send it , not UNICEF! I've heard lots of bad things about their practices! Maybe the Disabled vets ( I think theres a ranch in TX that's reputable) or Assemblies of God missionary fund, or Samaritans Purse.org run by Franklin Gramm, they may have the means to exchange it, there very reputable and organized to help Africans it great need! James Robison as well, I think his ministry is called,"Life For Today." Get on line and investigate! Have a Blessed and fruitful Quest and day!!

To the local museum if there old or just give them to a friend that would appreciate them .. Also you could donate them to a language class that is learning the same language the the coin is from.

See if there is a coin collectors club in your area. I am sure they would love to have them.
