My little sister came to my apartment yesterday and her eyes were swollen(she wasn't given a black eye or anything like that) and her skin was red and had a rash all over it.

I came home from work and my daughter, 4 years old at the time, was asleep on the couch. She woke up when she heard me come into the house and her eyes were swollen shut ! They looked like Garfield eyes. I am sure it was caused by a allergic reaction to a cat, Maine Coon, that my wife had brought home from the ASPCA. She petted it and then rubbed her eyes. Benadryl, (antihistimine) in childs dosage works, but, it will make you/her drowsy. Take her to a doctor to be sure.

It could be from a very bad allergy reaction from being exposed to certain allergens. Bring her to see a doctor right away and take care not to scratch her eyes and her skin.

allergies? Anytime I'm around cats my eyes swell shut and my face is all red and blotchy. Best to take her to the doctor.

it might be a illness that is very contagious tell her to go see a doctor and you might want to also. It is called myiningiduises and if she had it she needs to be treated now. she may feel achy.
